About Me
Beyond my academic and professional interests, I love finding opportunities to explore, unwind, and spend time with the people and things that are important to me. I have a strong love for travel and experiencing new places, while some of my favourite downtime is spent at my cottage enjoying the outdoors. I am also a lifelong animal lover and am happiest whenever I get the chance to spend time with them.

Critical reflection is an important skill as it allows us to look beyond learned content and accomplishments and consider how experiences shape knowledge, skill, and future approaches. I have developed this skill by continuously reflecting on my academic, research, and professional experiences, considering what went well and what I could have improved on. This has allowed me to become more aware of my strengths, recognize areas for continued growth, and intentionally apply lessons from past experiences to new challenges.
Communication is essential for sharing ideas clearly while adapting information to different audiences and situations. Throughout my master's program, I have strengthened this skill through presentations, scientific writing, group discussions, and translating complex scientific information into accessible messages.
Complex problems rarely have one clear solution and require considering multiple perspectives, evidence, and potential consequences. Through research, case-based assignments, and my capstone project, I have developed my ability to break down multifaceted problems, evaluate possible approaches, and make evidence-informed decisions.
Leadership involves supporting others, taking initiative, and helping a group work toward a shared goal. Through group projects and collaborative experiences, I have become more confident in taking responsibility, facilitating discussions, organizing next steps, and supporting team members when challenges arise.
Project management is important for turning ideas into achievable outcomes while balancing deadlines, responsibilities, and competing priorities. Through long-term and group-based projects, I have strengthened my ability to plan ahead, divide responsibilities, coordinate timelines, and adapt when priorities or circumstances change.
Working with people who bring different experiences, perspectives, and strengths often leads to stronger ideas and outcomes. My collaborative experiences have taught me to listen to different viewpoints, communicate openly, recognize individual strengths, and contribute toward decisions that reflect the needs of the entire team.
